Top 5 Tips For Happy Healthy Skin Edit


With the warmer months quickly approaching  the goal of  having  healthy glowing skin tends to be a top priority for us beauties. In this post I will share my Top 5 tips to ensure you’re on the right track to getting your best skin yet! 

Keep em Clean  

Our hands carry millions of disease causing bacteria so if you’re  touching your face throughout the day then you’re spreading  those germs onto your skin & if dealing with ongoing  skin issues or breakouts you’re wreaking havoc so do yourself a favor and drown a germ before doing any activity that requires you to touch your face. 

 Clean Towels

Another important factor in maintaining healthy skin is to ensure that you are using clean towels when drying your face after cleansing. Towels just like hands collect bacteria & if you are not using fresh clean towels to absorb the excess water you are simply spreading the bacteria back onto your skin thus defeating the whole purpose of washing your face in the first place, so when in doubt throw it out & use a clean towel. (That goes for regular cleaning of makeup brushes & related  skincare tools as well!) 


Moisturized Skin

Properly moisturizing is a very important factor in achieving healthy skin. No matter your skin type everyone needs a good moisturizer that will balance out the moisture levels in their skin to prevent skin from appearing dehydrated or dull. Some of my favorite picks are Ambi Even and Clear Daily Moisturizer which has SPF30 and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. 


No matter how fair or deep your skin tone is applying a sunscreen like CeraVe Sunscreen Face Lotion with SPF 50 before sun exposure is essential & one of the best practices you can start TODAY!! Consistent use of sunscreen will not only protect you against skin damaging sun rays but will also help in skin cancer prevention and premature aging . (P.S .don’t forget the lips. Selecting a lip care product with at least SPF 15 or more will help protect the thin layer of skin on our lips & prevent sun burn… OUCH!) Try This. 


last but not least which really should have been number 1 is drinking more water! Our bodies are made up of 60% of water & should be getting at least 3 liters for males & 2.2 liters for females per day to help regulate the various functions of our body and improve the appearance of our hair & skin, So if you’re having difficulty with getting your daily intake of water like me try purchasing a reusable double wall container like this one to help you chug away.
