Spring Beauty Essentials

Flowers blooming, birds chirping & the smell of freshly cut lawns have definitely got my creative juices flowing. Being defined as a time or season of growth and change, spring is the quintessential time to adapt the old age adage of “out with the old & in with the new”. With spring 2016 well underway what better time than now to spruce up your makeup & wardrobe. I consider myself a minimalist with a little sass & a dash of the girl next door appeal so adding key pieces to both my makeup routine & wardrobe can give me just that certain something I’m looking for. Here are a few of my favorite beauty essentials to help transition from winter blues to full fledge spring 🙂

  1. Hi Jessie, I’m so with you on “out with the old and in with the new!” I just finished up with my yearly spring house cleaning. Whoosh! What a mess! Now I’m finally organized and would really like to devise a plan to protect my dry skin from this fiery Texas sun. I would like to know what foundation could help with aging and dry skin? I’ve tried so many in the past but never seem to get the results I’m looking for…

Hey Gina!, spring cleaning is a great accomplishment as I am trying to get a grip on it myself. I would suggest first finding a great skin care regimen specifically for dry skin. Then purchasing a good primer that plumps the skin and preps it for your face makeup. For foundation I would stick to foundations that add that dewy glow to your skin like Makeup Forever HD stick foundation which goes on very smooth and I would suggest a beauty blender for application as they yield great results!

  2. Hey Jessie! First and foremost you’re absolutely stunning and I love the site! Is there any chance of you posting videos showing how to apply makeup? I am a novice at makeup, I can do the bare minimum of eyeliner and lipstick. Any tips will help!
